La Mèizòn de Sara is a cozy Bed and Breakfast located in the heart of the historic center of Aosta, in a late 19th century building that has just been renovated. It has five comfortable rooms decorated with taste, using the typical style of mountain villages. The rooms are named after the surrounding mountains and monuments, which can be admired from the windows.
The rooms are spacious, about 25 sqm, and equipped with private bathroom, heating, TV and internet connection. La Maison de Sara is an excellent base for those who want to visit the millenary Fiera di Sant'Orso, which takes place on January 30 and 31 every year, and livens up the city.
A few steps away is the ancient Collegiate Church of Sant'Orso, with its precious cloister and the countless Roman vestiges that Aosta (the ancient Augusta Praetoria) is rich in, such as the Amphitheater, the Pretorian Gates and the Crypt.
La Maison de Sara is a welcoming structure and friend of the Via Francigena, which offers special services to pilgrims walking along this itinerary, such as environments for washing and drying clothes, information on weather, route and luggage transport service. In addition, the furnishings have been made with ecological and natural materials, such as old brushed and regenerated woods, plasters and lime-based paints, to create a rustic and healthy environment for our guests.
Our establishment offers a pleasant, intimate, and welcoming breakfast room to start your day off on the right foot. From the terrace, you can admire the Arch of Augustus from a privileged position, while the owner delights you with a generous and tasty breakfast that satisfies the tastes of both Italian and foreign guests. Additionally, if you desire, the owner will be happy to provide you with information about the city of Aosta and its surroundings, as well as the many events that take place during your stay.
Just a few steps away, you can find the ancient Collegiate Church of Sant'Orso, with its precious cloister and the numerous traces of the Roman era that abound in Aosta. Among these, the Amphitheater, the Praetorian Gates and many other archaeological beauties of the city (Augusta Praetoria) that you can visit at a short distance.
Only 700/800 meters away, you can find the cable car to Pila, while the train station and the bus station are just 500/600 meters away. The strategic and central location of the house will allow you to visit all the wonders of the Aosta Valley.
