Our rustic house, named in honor of the family winemakers who have lived in it for generations, as evidenced by documents dated 1797, carefully preserved in an old chest.
We offer our guests six rooms, all furnished in the typical style of ancient country houses, with private bathroom and shower, larch wood floors, large and sunny terraces, and central heating. Some rooms are even furnished with family furniture and traditional farming tools.
The furniture, unique in each room, has been made by local craftsmen, experts in the ancient art of wood and iron. We have paid a lot of attention to the choice and combination of colors. Unfortunately, due to historical and artistic restrictions and our commitment to environmental preservation, it was not possible to install an air conditioning system.
Nevertheless, thanks to the thick stone walls, the rooms remain cool even during the summer. Each room has an evocative name, inspired by the century-old winemaking tradition of our family. Each name is associated with a vine variety cultivated in the Lower Aosta Valley. Some of these vine varieties, of great oenological interest, are seriously at risk of extinction and survive only in a few units.
The beating heart of the house pulses to the warm rhythm of the set table, amidst the sound of cutlery, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and sweet cakes just out of the oven. The breakfast mainly consists of typical products from the Valle d'Aosta: melted mountain butter, honey and preserves, apple juice, rye bread, cured meats, and cheeses that provide a healthy energy boost to start the day well.
Breakfast is served in the room that was once an elementary school in the village. The well-preserved brick vaults have created a unique space with few decorative elements. In the morning, you can descend into the room where a rich breakfast typical of the Valle d'Aosta will welcome you, and during the winter months, you will be enveloped in warmth and captivated by the magic and aroma of crackling wood.
During the warmer months, you will be awakened by the sweet singing of birds, the cheerful chirping of sparrows, and the sounds of nature. We will serve breakfast under the pergola, surrounded by the vibrant green of the grass, roses, and the scent of aromatic herbs. The kitchen will strive to satisfy even the most discerning palates, allowing you to taste genuine homemade sweets following ancient family recipes. Upon request, throughout the day, we can organize tastings, snacks, and light meals.
