La Corte di Alzo
The Bed and Breakfast is located on Italy's most romantic lake, Lake Orta, in the hamlet of Alzo in the municipality of Pella, on the western shore. The house is just a 5-minute walk from the Pella promenade (public beach, boat trips, sailing club, etc.), 15 minutes from Omegna, Borgomanero, Orta San Giulio, and the Sanctuary of Madonna del Sasso, and 30 minutes from Mottarone and Valsesia. We have two rooms with separate entrances and private bathrooms on the first floor. You can enjoy breakfast in the room below next to the lit fireplace (in winter) or in the small garden outside under the gazebo (in summer). The breakfast we offer is typically Italian: homemade cakes and biscuits, bread, butter and jam, yogurt, cereals, fruit juices, milk, coffee, tea, but upon request, we can also include savory options such as ham.
Our breakfast is a true celebration of Italian flavors: handmade pastries and cookies, fresh bread, butter and delicious jams, creamy yogurt, crunchy cereals, fresh fruit juices, milk, aromatic coffee, fragrant tea, and upon request, we can even delight you with a selection of tasty cured meats like the flavorful prosciutto.
We are Alessandra and Gabriel, two friends in their forties who one day had a dream: to escape from the big city and its hectic life to find a place of peace and nature. After a long search, we finally found the perfect place: the magnificent Lake Orta, which completely conquered us. Here, we also discovered a place where people easily talk to each other, help each other, and smile spontaneously. Our choice was courageous: we left Milan and our stable job to dedicate ourselves completely to the renovation of this charming house, guided by the desire to transform it into a welcoming, hospitable, and convivial place. From this desire and our curiosity to meet people and discover different lifestyles, our B&B was born.
We are located 40 km away from Malpensa Airport and 90 km away from Milan.
Our house is just a 5-minute walk from the Pella lakeside, where you can enjoy the public beach, go on a boat excursion, or join a sailing club. Moreover, within a 15-minute drive, you can reach Omegna, Borgomanero, Orta San Giulio, and the Sanctuary of Madonna del Sasso, while Mottarone and Valsesia are only 30 minutes away.
Our central location in the small village will allow you to enjoy a peaceful and quiet area. However, you will easily find services such as the post office, bank, grocery store with local products, tobacco shop, pharmacy, and a restaurant-pizzeria just a few steps away from the house.
Just 100 meters from the house, you will find Piazza Fiorentini, known as the terrace overlooking the lake, where you can admire a wonderful panoramic view.
Furthermore, in Piazza Fiorentini, you will also find the bus stop that connects Borgomanero, Alzo, and Omegna.
