I am a retired elementary school teacher. I have been retired for a few years and I have decided to bring a little bit of the world into my home. And what better opportunity than to open a bed and breakfast in Soliera to make new friends? It all started as a game in 2011, during conversations with my friends who encouraged me to open this establishment in my childhood home. The name of the B&B, "La Corte delle Civette" (The Court of the Owls), was not chosen randomly; there are owls nesting on a walnut tree and, as you may remember, this bird of prey was the favorite of the goddess Athena, bearer of good luck. This old farmhouse is the place of my childhood and still holds my precious memories. Here, the four seasons unfold with their enchanting charm. The arrival of swallows and the singing of birds announce spring without the need to consult the calendar. This is a peaceful place, where I live with Maya, my sweet little dog, and Tigro and Nerina, my two cats who purr at the slightest hint of a caress.
