The Colorful Cottage is the result of our grandparents' love when many years ago they bought a house in the historic center of Assisi for their five children, making great sacrifices.
A part of this house has been transformed into a souvenir shop, where our grandparents worked hard to support the family.
Over time, the shop has become smaller and we have created a two-bedroom apartment, with two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a shared living room.
The apartment has just been renovated and has all modern comforts. The environment features beautiful stone arches and vaults, typical of old houses, wooden and wrought iron details that make us feel like we have gone back in time, because it is always nice to discover a bit of magic that maybe modernity has made us forget. To add a touch of liveliness, colors dominate, and every detail is lovingly taken care of.
Even my husband and I, who manage the property, put a lot of effort into it. Each of us has a calling and ours is to make people feel good, in a simple and cheerful way.

Our room is named after our kitten and feature a rustic, yet refined style. The stone arches, wrought iron beds and wooden furniture add a subtle feel of yesteryear.
Rustic design aside, our room is fully equipped with all mod cons and lively colours to match! It is ensuite and equipped with a heating system. We do not use A/C as the climate is usually cool thanks to the thickness of our walls, see it for yourself!
House area of 21.5 square meters plus bathroom of 7 square meters. The room has a double bed, two single beds, wardrobe, desk, TV and Wi-Fi. The bathroom has a shower, toilet, bidet, sink and hair dryer.
The kind hostess Beatrice, along with her husband Simone and their affectionate kittens, Merlina and Artù (who reside in an apartment above our accommodation), will be delighted to welcome you and ensure a welcoming experience that will make you feel at home. Additionally, they will be extremely helpful in providing you with all the necessary information to discover the characteristic places of the city, including those that are not mentioned in tourist guides!
What can we say about Assisi? You can't avoid visiting such a unique place at least once in your life! Assisi is a city that exudes spirituality, but not only that: it is also a historical, artistic and cultural treasure (and full of uphill climbs!) It is a small gem of greatness! Every alley, every church or square, every fresco and path deserve to be discovered! When you see it appear on the horizon, whether shrouded in the morning fog or illuminated by a thousand evening lights, you won't be able to help but be fascinated by it! And once you have walked along one of its streets and savored the multiple nuances it offers, you won't be able to help but go back.. maybe to us.. if you have enjoyed yourselves! It is no coincidence that even Dante Alighieri mentioned Assisi in his Divine Comedy: "From this coast, where it slopes down more rapidly, a sun was born into the world, as sometimes happens on the Ganges. Therefore, whoever speaks of this place, should not say Ascesi, for that would be saying too little, but Orient, if they want to express themselves correctly."
