La Casetta tra i Laghi

My name is Nives. For me, hosting is not a job but a true passion, and I warmly welcome you to La Casetta tra i Laghi, a small retreat in the heart of the historic village of Borca di Omegna, just a short walk from Lake Orta. Here you can experience the atmosphere of an old stone house, just like in the past, without giving up any modern comfort. I carefully renovated every corner of La Casetta, choosing new and functional furnishings while lovingly restoring a few pieces from the past, to create spaces that feel authentic, welcoming, and full of character. The living area is very spacious and includes a brand-new, fully equipped kitchen (with utensils and appliances), a dining table, and a cozy relaxation corner with a sofa bed. The double bedroom is simple and fresh, with a new and comfortable bed, a topper mattress and memory-foam pillows, blackout curtains, and a ceiling fan to ensure rest and peace. The bathroom has been completely renovated as well, with new fixtures and shower box, a window, and a practical anteroom with a washbasin. From the private balcony, you can enjoy views of the lake and the rooftops of the village — perfect for breakfast outdoors or relaxing at sunset. I chose not to include a TV, because here time is meant for conversations, silence, walks, and moments of true relaxation. Free Wi-Fi is of course available for your convenience. Even though La Casetta is located in the heart of a historic village, there is no restricted traffic zone, and parking is easy and stress-free. Just a few steps away you’ll find two free parking areas, as well as plenty of space along the road. You can also stop right in front of the house to load and unload your luggage comfortably. Once you arrive, you can even forget about your car for the entire stay. Two mountain bikes are available for free, perfect for reaching Omegna — where you’ll find all essential services — or for exploring nearby trails and lakes. If you prefer e-bikes, you can rent them from our partner shop and safely store them in the old stable beneath the house, equipped with power outlets for recharging. You’ll also have free Wi-Fi and a selection of local guides and information to help you discover the area. I’ve lived here all my life and know the territory well — I’ll be happy to suggest routes, restaurants, markets, small beaches, and authentic places to enjoy at a slow pace. If you wish, I can also help you plan your days according to your interests and rhythm. La Casetta is the perfect starting point to explore Piedmont, between Orta San Giulio, Omegna, and the many charming villages around the lake.
