La Casa del Ficus
The Ficus House is a newly renovated villa set in the beautiful countryside of the citrus groves of Guardia Mangano, a quiet town near Acireale (CT). Just 2 km from the sea of the wonderful Lemon Riviera, Mount Etna, Catania and Taormina.
The ground floor and part of the first floor of the building, made with typical Sicilian materials such as lava stone and rustic terracotta, are available to guests who can take advantage of an independent entrance and a parking space in the inner courtyard.
The rooms, located in the large attic floor, are equipped with all comforts (private bathroom, refrigerator, air conditioning) and offer an elegant and bright living area where a rich breakfast based on local products and homemade jams is served.
On the ground floor, there is also an apartment with two adjacent bedrooms, two bathrooms, a dining room/equipped kitchenette, and a table on the external terrace for lunches and dinners during the warmer months of the year.
This accommodation is particularly suitable for families of 4/5 people or couples of friends.
Outside the villa, there are 250 square meters of green space with furnishings, where you can spend carefree and relaxing moments.
Our structure is ideal for those who want to combine a beach holiday with a quiet stay in the countryside, just a few steps from the coast. We offer a family atmosphere in full respect of the authentic B&B philosophy: we will provide sheets and towels with midweek change, give directions and tourist maps, and suggest the best restaurants and food and wine routes in the area. We will do everything possible to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

The house is located in the picturesque village of Guardia Mangano, a fraction of Acireale (CT), a delightful baroque city of human dimensions, located on "La Timpa", a volcanic plateau that is now a protected nature reserve. Acireale is renowned for its charming architecture, breathtaking landscape, and its renowned culinary tradition, especially its desserts (don't miss the delicious almond granita).
Our B&B enjoys a strategic geographic location, ideal as a starting point for exploring not only eastern Sicily: the airport is only 25 km away, the highway 5 km away, and the S.S.114 a few hundred meters away. Moreover, it is also possible to travel comfortably by train, thanks to the train station in the village within walking distance.
The beautiful Lemon Riviera, with its charming fishing villages (such as Santa Maria La Scala, Santa Tecla, Pozzillo, and Stazzo), is within a short distance, while the enchanting sea of the Cyclops Riviera (Acitrezza and Aci Castello) is only 8 km away. Furthermore, with a short drive, it is possible to reach both the majestic mountain range of Mount Etna, which stands imposingly, and Taormina and the suggestive gorges of the Alcantara River.
On a pleasant day trip, you can also visit Syracuse, Piazza Armerina, Caltagirone, Vulcano, Lipari, Ragusa, Scicli, Modica, and Cefalù.
