"The Campina" is the historic district south of Galatina, where a battle was fought in 1484 against the troops of the Venetian Republic, won by the Galatine militias. It is precisely in this area, a few hundred meters from the village, that the Agricultural and Agritourism "La Campina de Don Paulu" is located, named in honor of Paolo Vernaleone, a local doctor and philanthropist who lived in the 19th century and great-grandfather of Mrs. Teresa, the current owner of the company.
The building that houses the current hall was, until the 1980s, the winery of the agricultural company, now dedicated to the cultivation of cereals, the production of extra virgin olive oil, and to a lesser extent vegetables and fruits.
The Agritourism "La Campina de Don Paulu" is the perfect place if you are looking for products from the land and everything good it can offer. Here you will find a familiar and welcoming environment, a genuine cuisine with traditional Salento dishes, expertly prepared and sometimes revisited by our Chef Daniele, and a staff always ready to meet your needs.
