The beautiful "Locanda Il Tufo Rosa" is a charming and refined Bed & Breakfast located inside the evocative Bastione della Fortezza Orsini di Pitigliano, in the wonderful region of Maremma in Tuscany.

All our rooms are connected by a historical path that spans from the second half of the 1200s to the Renaissance. Each of them pays homage to the noble Contesses who have left their mark in the history of Pitigliano, presenting splendid oil portraits and brief biographies that tell their stories.
We aim to provide you with a perfect start to each day of your vacation in the Maremma Toscana, in the wonderful heart of Pitigliano.
At breakfast, you will find a rich buffet with homemade pastries and yogurt, honey, local jams, and organic products from local sources. Additionally, you can savor cold cuts and cheeses from local producers, fresh fruit, and fragrant bread that will introduce you to all the unique and genuine flavors of our region. We are committed to serving everything sustainably, limiting the use of single-use plastic to respect the environment.
We will be delighted to welcome you to our cozy breakfast room every morning from 8:30 to 9:30. You will also have the opportunity to taste the extra virgin olive oil produced in our small family-run farm, following organic methods that preserve soil fertility and biodiversity.

Since 2000, my family and I have created the "Locanda il Tufo Rosa" within the ancient bastion of the Orsini Fortress in Pitigliano. Drawing inspiration from the history of the place, each room is dedicated to one of the Countesses who lived in the castle. With passion and dedication, we have continuously improved the structure over the years, becoming one of the few B&Bs in the historic center in 2020. We are proud to offer a buffet breakfast with delicious homemade pastries made by myself, using local products from nearby farms, sourced locally.
The Il Tufo Rosa is an ideal place to enjoy a pleasant stay in our ancient village, which showcases the beauty of Maremma, a welcoming and fascinating land. Thanks to the central location of our bed and breakfast, you can leave your car and explore the narrow streets of the historic center on foot, discovering hidden corners and admiring breathtaking views. Additionally, you will have easy access to the most interesting historical, environmental, and culinary sites in southern Tuscany and beyond, authentic places that are still relatively untouched by mass tourism. You can visit the Baths of Saturnia and Sorano, Monte Argentario, Monte Amiata, the nearby Lake Bolsena, and much more.
