The idea of opening a Bed and Breakfast in the part of the family house that I inherited arose from the desire to offer a perfect retreat to all those who want to explore the wonders of the Montefeltro territory without sacrificing moments of relaxation and tranquility, surrounded by the green hills of Urbino and a stone's throw from the historic center of the city. I chose the name IL TORCHIO for the B&B with the intention of preserving the memory of my father, Alfio's extraordinary craftsmanship skills, who, together with my mother Nilde, known as Gina, spread the Paolini intaglio presses, invented by him in the 1950s and produced until 1996, throughout the world. I dedicate this project to them, and I am grateful for the excellent technical contribution of my eldest daughter, Barbara, a professional architect, and for the support and valuable advice of my other children, Cecilia and Nicolò. Special thanks go to Antonio, my life partner, who helped me make this dream come true.
