Located in a peaceful green area on the outskirts of the village, in the locality of Praticello in the Municipality of Gattatico, the B&B "Il Portico" is housed in a completely renovated farmhouse. The building retains the original rural style of the Emilian countryside, while offering all the necessary comforts for a relaxing stay. The strategic location of the B&B allows for easy access to Parma and Reggio Emilia, as well as the beautiful natural areas of the Po River basin, the Enza River, and the Matildiche and Parmensi hills. Furthermore, the nearby Fiere di Parma and Reggio Emilia can be easily reached thanks to the proximity to the "Campegine - Terre di Canossa" highway exit. Internally, the residence is surrounded by a vegetable garden, an orchard, and a large garden. The entire building has recently been renovated, preserving the characteristic elements of rural houses such as exposed bricks and wooden beams, while simultaneously updating all the technological systems to maximize energy efficiency. To minimize energy consumption, the entire structure uses high-efficiency LED lights with low energy consumption both inside and outside, is well insulated, and has a photovoltaic and solar thermal system on the roof. The B&B has three recently built rooms, each furnished and decorated according to a particular theme that is reflected in the name of the room. The sizes of the rooms range from the 20 square meters of the "Ninfea" and "Glicine" rooms to the 23 square meters of the "Tulipano" room. All the rooms are located on the first floor, in an exclusive and private area of the structure, and boast large windows with garden views, air conditioning/heating, a double bed, bedside tables, a desk, an additional sofa/bed, chairs, a 32-inch LCD TV, and a safe. Each private bathroom has a window, a hairdryer, a hydro-massage shower, and a courtesy set. Free Wi-Fi internet connection is available in all rooms, and there is ample reserved parking for guests.
