The Pignocco Country House is an ancient farmhouse located on top of a hill overlooking the delightful village of Santa Veneranda, from which you can admire the sea and the city of Pesaro. Our family became the owners of this wonderful property back in 1952 and since 2009, my sister Francesca and I have decided to open the doors to guests eager to experience a unique tourist experience. The name of our residence, Il Pignocco, comes from a majestic tree that fell during a storm back in 1925. Inside our Reception, you can admire three black and white photographs of this famous tree. From generation to generation, a fascinating legend has been passed down: right here, in front of our Country House, there was a gigantic pine tree that was almost 50 meters tall! It is said that sailors arriving from the sea used this imposing natural tower as a reference point to orient themselves before disembarking. And now here we are, in place of the sea lighthouse, with our farmhouse boasting a tower, a barn, a swimming pool, ancient olive trees, and a great passion for hospitality.
At the Il Pignocco Country House Bed and Breakfast, the main room of the rustic house is now used as the breakfast room.
A restored antique wooden table shines in the center. Around it, you can find authentic vintage furniture, a large fireplace that once warmed the family during cold winters, and various paintings from different eras.
Waking up in the morning and sitting here for breakfast, in an enchanted and romantic atmosphere, is a unique experience. The breakfast room is also an intimate space, where guests have the privilege of feeling welcomed and pampered in a familiar and informal ambiance.
The breakfast buffet is abundant and varied: homemade sweets such as apple cake, orange donut, chocolate tart, butter cookies, lemon pound cake, soft jam and sugar cake, croissants, fresh bread, cold cuts, and cheeses.
Furthermore, the breakfast that awaits you at the B&B offers cereals and muesli, yogurt, toast to spread with honey, nutella or jam, orange and apple juice.
You can then choose between traditional coffee prepared with a moka pot or espresso coffee.

The Economy Double Bedroom Fides has an independent entry on the ground floor of the Marche Villa. It is perfect for two; small, yet full of character. The small, well designed cooking area has a two-plate electric hob and a mini-fridge. The Room features a King size Bed, a dining table and bathroom with shower. It looks out onto the Marche Villa's courtyard and lawn and has garden furniture where you can relax or enjoy a glass of wine. The Classic Studio Mater Matuta is an attractive studio with independent entry on the ground floor of the Italian farmhouse. The Marche studio features a king size bed with wardrobe. It has a cotto tiles floor with a traditional Italian rug and two antique burgundy armchairs. The well designed kitchen area has a two-plate electric hob, a fridge, a complete set of kitchenware and plenty of room to cook your meals. The bathroom has a shower. The Marche studio looks out onto the Italian farmhouse's courtyard. Garden furniture is available in front of the main door, for you to sit and relax with a glass of wine whilst admiring the surrounding Marche countryside. The Suite Feronia is inside the tower of the farmhouse. At the base of the tower there are a mini sitting room with a well designed kitchen area with a two-plate electric hob, a fridge and a complete set of kitchenware. An ancient spiral staircase leads upstairs. On the first floor there is a bathroom with bathtub; on the second floor there is a cozy bedroom with king size bed; on the roof there is the belvedere terrace. The Executive Studio Apollo is on the first floor of the Marche farmhouse and offers a terrific loft. It has a kitchen, a living area with comfortable sofa bed and bathroom with shower. A spiral staircase leads up to the cozy double bedroom, with added character due to the sloping ceiling with exposed beams. The window overlook the pretty internal garden of the Marche farmhouse with its family chapel. On request, the sofa bed can be for 1 adult or 2 children. The superior studio Marica is an attractive studio with independent entry on the ground floor of the Italian farmhouse. The spacious studio features a king size bed with wardrobe. The bathroom has a shower and is equipped for disabled people. The studio looks out onto the Italian farmhouse's courtyard and is a few steps away from the pool. The Superior Two Room Apartment Diana is a spacious tastefully furnished self catering apartment with independent entry, on the ground floor of the stylishly converted barn of the Marche Villa. The Pignocco Country House is located atop a hill, surrounded by peaceful countryside, yet within short distance of the charming town of Pesaro and all necessary amenities. In the vicinity of this cozy B&B, one can explore picturesque villages and fascinating castles, such as Gradara, Novilara, Candelara, and Montefabbri, or visit the ancient Roman cities of Pesaro and Fano. Furthermore, just a 15-minute drive away, lies the marvelous San Bartolo Natural Park, with a breathtaking panoramic road that runs along the mountain ridge and passes through charming villages like Fiorenzuola di Focara and Casteldimezzo.
