Hello, my name is Roberto and I am a professional chef with 28 years of experience. I gained my expertise mainly among the hills, shores of the lake, and the city of Brescia. However, I spent a few months in a wonderful place, the City of Lovers, working in a restaurant in the courtyard of Juliet's House in Verona. Each place I worked at contributed, in its own way, to telling the culinary culture and city life of the area. Among the most important, I remember La Quiete by Renato Simoni in Manerba del Garda, which was a pioneer in catering with "La Romantica". Renato Simoni was a person of high human stature and excellent welcoming warmth, unfortunately deceased. I also worked at Trattoria del Cav Raoul Porteri, which represents the oldest gastronomy of Brescia, at the Ristorante Fior di Roccia near the port of Dusano, and at Trattoria AL Frate of the Zane family. Moreover, I spent a year at Trattoria di Antonio D'Amico, life partner of Gianni Versace, where I tasted his memorable durum wheat orecchiette. I also had several work experiences on my own, including "Sapori di Corte Bondeno" in an 18th-century farmhouse in Sabbioneta, a name I coined in 1990, and "Dolce Stil Novo" in S. Felice del Benaco in 1996. Now, my energies are focusing on the realization of "Il Noce alla Finestra" B&B, which is available for the summer season for those who want to spend a few days on Lake Garda. You can ride a bike, as a famous song says, or take the boat from the dock near Salò (3 km) for a romantic trip between the shores of Lake Garda and along the roads plowed by the 007 film.
