The Dormouse is an eco-friendly bed and breakfast, not only because the spaces are renovated and painted with products from sustainable construction, but also because for a delightful breakfast we mainly offer fair trade, organic, seasonal, local and zero-kilometer products, ensuring you a safe refreshment. Upon request, we prepare breakfasts suitable for vegans, vegetarians, and celiacs. Together, we will find solutions for different dietary needs.
As a surprise, we organize the "Breakfast with the Commander", our dad Com. Antonio Casanova, who will tell you legends and anecdotes of our magical island.
We like to define ourselves as the bed and breakfast of the five Bs: Bed&Breakfast&Organic&Barter&Bicycles.
In our bed and breakfast, your bicycles are more than welcome, and we would be happy to offer you a stay in exchange for goods and services needed.

Upon request, we can prepare breakfasts suitable for vegans, vegetarians, and celiacs. To meet different dietary needs, we are open to welcoming vegan and vegetarian guests.
As a special surprise, our affectionate Antonio Casanova, known as "The Commander," will delight you with legendary stories and anecdotes of our magical island during breakfast.

Good morning! We are Bruno and Salvatore, the founders and managers of Ghiro, a cozy accommodation located in the heart of the city. Our family became the owners of this house in the middle of the last century, when our grandfather Bruno, a young tailor, bought it. He opened his tailor shop on the ground floor and made the upstairs apartments his home.
Since 2004, we have transformed this wonderful house into a Bed and Breakfast, offering a unique hospitality service.
Area city center
Il Ghiro is located in the main square and in the immediate vicinity of the port and the promenade, where you can take pleasant walks to discover the village and its typical “carruggi“.
Our location is also just a stone’s throw from the museum, monuments and salt pans where you can observe a vast array of birds including the beautiful pink flamingos.
The island of San Pietro offers wonderful free beaches, beautiful cliffs and unique geological features.
In the North-West of the island, it is possible to observe the marvellous Falco Eleonorae (falcon of the Queen) which stops on our island from April to October and then returns to Madagascar.
For lovers of trekking, we are ready to tell you the best routes so you can discover the most hidden corners of our island.
