We have carefully selected our mattresses for maximum comfort and our in-room bathrooms have been thoughtfully designed to provide ample space. All of our linens are hygienically laundered by a professional laundry service and each room is equipped with USB outlets for quick charging of all devices. WiFi is free and available in every room. Our common area features a convenient dispenser for natural or sparkling water, which we believe is a fundamental element that we offer free of charge. Of course, we also provide a convenient coffee machine and all the necessary accessories for making a good cup of tea.
Every morning, the hospitality manager will delight you with freshly baked artisanal delicacies from the historic Schiuma pastry shop. You can taste the typical croissants, the crispy and fragrant bread from Matera, accompanied by the irresistible whole honey portioned directly from the honeycomb on your table. The assortment also includes freshly baked local focaccia, yogurt, cereals, fresh fruit, jams, chocolate spread, and, upon request, gluten-free or lactose-free cold cuts or products. Classic coffee and cappuccino are also available for a great energy boost.

Hello, I'm Marilisa, the first of eleven grandchildren of my dear grandmother Giulia. I am a mother of three and since 2015 I have been managing a guesthouse that I created within my grandmother's historic house, trying to recover the appearance that I remembered from my childhood; I tried to create a welcoming and comfortable environment that reflects contemporary taste, but without forgetting traditions. I personally selected the mattresses, furniture, and furnishings, choosing only the best, as if I had chosen them for myself. I have always cared about the well-being of my guests and for this reason I have taken care of every detail to make their stay as enjoyable as possible.
The accommodation is located in the heart of the historic center of Matera, right in front of Sasso Barisano. As soon as you start your walk in the adjacent pedestrian area, you will immediately be surrounded by numerous restaurants and bars, but the true beauty of this place will be revealed through the numerous breathtaking views that you can admire and capture in photos.
