Sabaudia, with its 15 km of coastline, fine sandy beaches, and crystal-clear sea, is one of the most acclaimed destinations by tourists from all over Italy. The area includes a sandy coast isolated from the road by a barrier of dunes, which also inspired the poet and writer Alberto Moravia. He described the city of Sabaudia as a new Africa, capable of capturing the gaze of those who observe it with its evocative beauty. Furthermore, Sabaudia boasts a large national park, rich in vegetation and animals, Monte Circeo, a clean sea (Blue Flag 2013), and breathtaking views.
Between the city and the sea, there are four coastal lakes: Lake Paola or Sabaudia, Lake Caprolace, Lake dei Monaci, and Lake Fogliano. Thanks to their beauty and importance, they are part of the Circeo National Park and are considered one of the most studied wetland areas in the entire Mediterranean region.
