Fontanelle is a seaside farmhouse located a few kilometers from Otranto, on the northern coast, just a stone's throw away from a dream beach, the renowned Baia dei Turchi, in an authentic countryside setting where olives, cereals, fruits, and vegetables have been cultivated for generations.
We have grown slowly, step by step, along a road where many have accompanied us, sometimes taking us by the hand, other times observing us from above, or simply walking by our side.
Each room, approximately 18 square meters in size, also has a relaxing outdoor space where you can enjoy a well-deserved rest.
We are located in a highly touristic area, so you won't feel completely "off the grid," but you can still enjoy a few hours of tranquility, especially during the less chaotic months.
As guests of a seaside farmhouse, you can directly access the splendid Baia dei Turchi on foot or by bike, with a simple and pleasant walk through the pine forest that takes about ten minutes (800 meters). Upon returning from the beach, you can purchase some refreshing fruits and vegetables from our garden or enjoy typical drinks and snacks at our summer kiosk (the farmhouse does not yet have a restaurant).
Every morning you will be provided with a personalized organic breakfast tailored to your tastes! We will delight you with our organic products, fresh seasonal fruits, homemade sweets made with our whole grain flours, a selection of savory dishes, and other high-quality products such as juices, cereals, yogurt, jams, fresh bread, or croissants.

In order to better welcome in the land of Otranto, making you plunge into its charming history, we have furnished out theme rooms, planning it all different, and drawing inspiration from the people who were most likely the protagonists of the Turkish capture of Otranto, as well as the writer Maria Conti, represented them in her masterpiece entitled “L’ora di tutti”, in 1962. We imagined that these historical adventures, the king, the captain and the soldiers would return to live in our age, a few meters from the beach itself which tells the legend. Each room, therefore, contains and offers emotion and atmosphere: choose the one that belongs to you more! When you are here, you will have a copy of the novel, so the experience will be complete: you can say that you have really gone through “ the heart of Otranto”. Each room measures about 14 square meters, there is also a relaxing outdoor area in which enjoy your well-deserved privacy away from prying eyes, rocked by the charms of the nature. Our guests have direct access, on foot or by bicycle, to Baia dei Turchi, with an easy and pleasant walk in the pinewood, about a quarter of an hour (800 meters). On the way back from the sea, you can buy fruit and vegetables directly from our garden (the farmhouse does not run a kitchen). Finally, every morning, you can have breakfast outside on the patio, with coffee, milk or tea, and cakes rigorously “zero-mile”.
