Via Ottaviano is a street that stretches for 5 blocks in the historic center of Rome, known as old Rome.
Starting from Piazza d'Orologio and continuing to Piazza Pasquino, these five blocks offer a variety of shops, restaurants, architecture, and history of Rome to delight travelers.
Heading west from Piazza Pasquino, Via Ottaviano is a lively and picturesque street, full of boutiques, restaurants, and vintage clothing stores.
The street, once part of the papal route connecting the Lateran Palace to the Basilica of St. John Lateran, obtained its name in 1755. In that year, the papal government moved from Palazzo Nardini, located at number 39, to Palazzo Madama on the other side of Piazza Navona. It is believed that Bramante lived at number 123.
