Fattoria Capobianco
The Fattoria Capobianco Agriturismo is made up of two farmhouses: the Main Farmhouse, where our family's apartment and three guest apartments are located, and the second Farmhouse, about 80 meters away, with independent access and capable of accommodating up to 9 people. These farmhouses have been renovated in the local style and are perfect for welcoming couples, groups, and families, as they have independent kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms.
Fattoria Capobianco is located in Montefiascone, in the heart of Tuscia, an ancient medieval village overlooking Lake Bolsena, on the border between Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio. The structure was designed to create an experience of peace and tranquility in an area rich in tourist attractions. We want to introduce tourists from all over the world to the beauty of our territory, where we were born and raised with our children. The view from the panoramic terrace, overlooking the green valley and the Cimini mountains, will leave you speechless.
Around Fattoria Capobianco, there is a small family-run self-sufficient farm that produces natural and certified organic products such as EST! EST!! EST!!! wine (from a vineyard over 50 years old, in front of the farmhouse), extra-virgin olive oil, and many vegetables, seeds, and grasses to feed the farm animals.
The main purpose of the educational farm is to combine technical and scientific information on food production and processing with passionate testimony of local rural life. In this way, we want to enhance the importance of consuming traditional and organic products, preferably at km 0.
We are also very attentive to the environment: we use renewable sources such as photovoltaic for the production of electricity, solar thermal for hot water, and biomass for heating. For the restoration of farmhouses, we have chosen natural and eco-sustainable materials such as stone, brick, wood, and iron. We have created a small ecological island for separate waste collection, and vegetable waste is composted or given to farm animals. In addition, we have installed BAT BOXES, which are shelters for bats, to facilitate biological defense against harmful insects. Geese and turkeys, on the other hand, clean the vineyards of pests every day.
It is possible to request breakfast, however, it will not be available during the summer season.
I am a passionate mother who loves country life, nature and living peacefully amongst simple things. I really enjoy meeting new people as they always teach me something new and I hope to be able to share my experiences with them.
As a young agricultural entrepreneur with a degree in economics and commerce, and two beautiful children aged 4 and 2, I have decided to create an organic and eco-sustainable company to make the most of the thousand potentials of our beautiful land, while respecting its unspoiled nature.
The hospitality we offer is a way to enhance our potential and introduce tourists from all over the world to the beautiful place where we were born and where we have decided to raise our children. When you wake up in the morning to the sound of rooster crowing and look out from the panoramic terrace that reveals the entire green valley, the day always starts off on the right foot!
The Farmhouse is situated atop a hill that overlooks the surrounding area and offers a spectacular view from the Cimini Mountains to the Viterbo Valley. The establishment was created to provide an oasis of peace and tranquillity in a highly sought-after tourist area like Tuscia. Its location is strategic, just 3 minutes from the center of Montefiascone village, 8 minutes from Lake Bolsena, 10 minutes from Civita di Bagnoregio (known as the dying city), 10 minutes from Bolsena, 10 minutes from Capodimonte, 15 minutes from the celebrated Viterbo thermal baths (also mentioned by Dante in his "Divine Comedy"), 25 minutes from Orvieto, 45 minutes from the sea (Tarquinia with its Etruscan necropolis), 40 minutes from Saturnia, and an hour from Rome, Perugia, Montalcino, Montepulciano, and an hour and a half from Siena. In one week of vacation, visitors can experience many emotions and visit many historical and archaeological sites, all at very competitive prices because we are close to Tuscany and Umbria, but not exactly within their borders!
