Davide and I are from Elba, we have chosen to stay on the island and to raise our children here.
When you are born in a place like Elba, you can only be grateful.
It is not easy to give up its natural beauty, the colors of the sea and the Mediterranean maquis, the different light and scents in every season, the magic of slower rhythms in certain moments of the year which can strongly influence perspectives.
As often happens in small communities, even on Elba the complex laws of sociality and human relationships have a more direct and frugal figure and hospitality has always been a marked characteristic of our families of origin.
The idea of ??Porto Sole was born this way, from the desire to create something that didn't exist, a place that was home for any type of traveller, even for the most unconventional and always looking for authentic experiences. Our rooms have a private bathroom and a wonderful sea view, they are spacious and different from each other. From April to October we serve a varied but traditional Italian breakfast with fresh products purchased in the village.
Since June 2021 we have opened Soggiorno Marconi, it is a suite with a small kitchen and a balcony overlooking the sea, a few steps from the white beach of Ghiaie. It is a very comfortable and ideal solution for long periods. The location is also excellent for those without a car and on the ground floor there is a room for the laundry and for storing bikes, scooters and small scooters. Parking at 150 meters

We are Elban, by roots and by choice, consciously happy to have been born on this island that knows how to be a different piece of the world at every kilometer. A more modern vision of travel and the desire to share our love for the island have given life to an old dream. Porto Sole, more than just a simple B&B, aims to be a true refined and comfortable home, a home on Elba far from yours.
Porto Sole is located on the second floor of a historic building on Via delle Galeazze, number 30. It is a peaceful area in the historic center of Portoferraio. It is the point where the waterway that was originally designed for the commercial activities of the Florentine family dè Medici in the 1500s loses its worldly charm and returns to being our sea. Nevertheless, we are still in the city center, so there are many conveniences and useful services within easy reach, making it ideal for those who are on foot.
