The Domus de Janas is a cozy and colorful house with spacious panoramic terraces available for guests. It is located in the heart of the historic center of Santa Teresa and overlooks the square and the main street of the town, just 250 meters from the beautiful Rena Bianca beach with its fine and white sand. This is a small corner of paradise in northern Sardinia, one of the oldest in the country, once owned by the ancestors of its current owners. Daria, an Italian teacher for foreigners, has decided to combine her language and Italian culture courses with tourism. Together with her husband Simone, they opened the B&B in 2009. Daria speaks fluent English and French. The house has been completely renovated and preserves the family history with paintings by Daria's grandparents (professional artists) and antique furniture. The B&B offers 6 rooms, each one different from the other, in a warm, colorful and relaxing environment. You can enjoy a delicious self-service breakfast with local cheeses, cold cuts, eggs, honey and jams of all kinds, toasts and fresh bread, fruit, cereals, yogurt, juices and more. Breakfast can be enjoyed in the room, on the terraces or in the breakfast room. The panoramic terraces, the highest of which offers a 360-degree view of the Strait with the cliffs of Bonifacio and the Corsican mountains on one side, and the square and the Corso on the other, are also available for guests for aperitifs and romantic dinners.

The Domus de Janas, also known as the "Fairy House, " has always been owned by our family, although it has only been used as a vacation home for a long time. Since I am an Italian language teacher for foreigners, I decided to renovate the house in 2008 and turn it into a residence where foreign tourists interested in learning Italian could combine language studies with the wonderful beaches of Sardinia.
The enthusiasm shown by many Italians towards the Domus de Janas and Santa Teresa Gallura pushed us to open a B&B in 2009.
Our delightful B&B overlooks Corso and Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, just a few steps away from restaurants, bars, and shops. In less than five minutes on foot, you can reach Rena Bianca beach, which has been awarded the Blue Flag for over 30 years because of its crystal-clear waters. The majestic Aragonese Tower, also known as Longosardo, is one of the oldest buildings in Santa Teresa. It was built in the 16th century by the Spanish to control the naval flow of the strait. Outside the town, you can visit the nuragic site of Lu Brandali, where the Tomb of the Giants is located. Continuing westward, about three kilometers away, is Capo Testa peninsula, a Site of Community Importance (SCI) of great beauty, with its ancient granites, Roman quarries, and charming beaches and coves. From Santa Teresa port, ferries depart almost every hour and will take you to Bonifacio in Corsica in just fifty minutes. There, you can visit the Stendardo Bastion, the King of Aragon's Staircase, and the suggestive medieval old town overlooking the sea.
We would like to emphasize that we are able to communicate in Italian, English, French, German, and Spanish to help our guests enjoy their stay to the fullest.
