Dimora San Quirico
Bed & Breakfast in Cisternino in the hills
Our charming B&B, built entirely of stone using a technique similar to trulli, welcomes you with its freshly whitewashed walls and vaulted ceiling, creating a cool and relaxing atmosphere for an authentic relaxation experience. It has a total of 4 rooms, including two doubles and two quadruples.
The owners, Anna and Giuseppe, will welcome you with the warmth and hospitality that characterize them.
The "San Quirico" Residence is the result of the careful restoration of a typical cottage in the Itria Valley, dating back to 1928. Originally, the house consisted of only three rooms: the entrance, the kitchen with a large fireplace on the left, and the bedroom on the right, in addition to the cellar below and the water cistern even further down, which is said to have been the largest in the area.
Rainwater, a precious resource in this arid land, was channeled through a special channel from the dome-shaped roof to this cistern, which was then collected with an iron bucket.
Even today, this canalization system and cistern are used for watering the lawn and the lush surrounding greenery.
"We wanted to bring our house back to life while preserving its original integrity and beauty, respecting the territory and its identity."
Stone, lime, and iron have been precious materials in the hands of skilled local craftsmen, who have been able to blend tradition with the most modern technologies.

There is no need to go far to find the perfect ingredients for breakfast. The delicious jams are homemade with fruit that grows on the trees surrounding the B&B. The cakes and pastries follow grandma's traditional recipes, while the focaccias and bread are fresh from the neighborhood bakery. Everything you will find on the abundant table is produced from the fertile lands of the Itria Valley. Here you will find authenticity, sustainability, and plenty of flavor.

Area hills
This land is the birthplace of the Venerable Father Francesco Convertini, a Salesian missionary in India who lived here. He was declared "venerable" by the Vatican in January 2017 and will soon become, as some have said, the "San Giovanni Rotondo of the Valle d'Itria". The Marinelli district is part of the municipality of Cisternino in the Valle d'Itria and borders the territory of Locorotondo. This small village, like something out of a fairy tale, has a central white square shaded by a large oak tree, a small church next to it, two streets, and a shop. The district is inhabited all year round and the community, united in an association, organizes events to promote and spread awareness of the venerable figure. In February, the Peace March takes place, which is already in its 14th edition, and at the end of August, there is an evocative torchlight procession to the birthplace of Father Francesco. It is possible to enjoy the tranquility of the area and its privileged location, just a few kilometers from the most beautiful places to visit in Puglia and entertainment attractions.
