Dany's House B&B is a delightful studio located on the second floor of a charming family building. Despite being adjacent to our home, it has a private entrance and the freedom to come and go as you please. The parking in front is free and always available. The rooms are meticulously cleaned by myself, using environmentally friendly and hygienic products.
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by wonderful scents of essential oils that will give you a warm welcome. After handing over your valid identification documents, we will provide you with a free city map and a small Matera guide. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to book a guided tour through a local agency.
For sweet moments of relaxation after your journey, you will find candies and chocolates in your room. The family atmosphere of our B&B will immediately make you feel at ease: bring your smile, we'll take care of the rest.
Located just a few minutes from the Sassi di Matera, you can reach them with a pleasant walk of only 300 meters, immersing yourself in a fascinating ancient scenario of 9, 000 years. The private bathroom in the room is the ideal place to rejuvenate after a day of exploring the wonders of Matera. It has been recently renovated and offers a large shower. We provide soft towels, wipes, hairdryer, makeup remover pads, cotton swabs, shampoo, and Mantovani nickel-free shower gel.
We are only a 5-minute walk from the "Madonna delle Grazie" Hospital in Matera and the A. S. M. on Via Montescaglioso. Additionally, we are very close to the Sasso Caveoso and the historic center.
Upon waking up, you can enjoy a delightful breakfast at any time without any time restrictions. At the facility, you will have access to a variety of teas, herbal infusions, lactose-free milk, coffee, and other beverages, accompanied by croissants, small tarts, muffins, focaccia bread, cured meats, cereals, and yogurt. We would be happy to know your preferences to make this experience even more memorable. To reduce plastic usage, we use glass bottles that are washed in the dishwasher after every guest change. Mother nature will thank us.
I am delighted to offer as a unique feature the hospitality in my home for over 16 years. I live in the apartment next door. The breakfast we offer (which includes tarts, focaccias, milk buns, disposable cookies, tea, selected herbal teas, compostable coffee capsules, yogurt, juices, butter, and small jars of jam) can be enjoyed comfortably in your studio at the time of your awakening, without any time limits. It will be an honor for me to chat upon your arrival and tell you about my city and the places to visit. I will welcome you as part of the family!
For me, my studio represents a wonderful opportunity to constantly meet new people and connect with other regions and countries. I love to cook, it relaxes me. My area is located just outside the Sassi, precisely in the southern part of Matera, where the entrance to the Sasso Caveoso begins. Below my B&B, there is a convenient free parking lot where you can leave your car and venture out to discover this beautiful city. Less than 300 meters away is the entrance to the Sasso Caveoso from Via Casalnuovo. By walking less than a kilometer, you will easily reach the center or the Sassi, immediately immersing yourself in the past. Additionally, the numerous shops in the area, with their friendly owners, will be ready to meet your every need. You can find tobacco shops, post offices, pharmacies, mini markets, bakeries, butchers, shops with various goods, and ATMs.
