Agriturismo Croara Vecchia
The Croara Vecchia farm extends for a kilometer along the Trebbia River, with a territory mainly consisting of woods, meadows, and floodplains.
Since 2000, we have started agritourism activities, offering hospitality in a renovated ancient convent transformed into a welcoming accommodation facility with various-sized lodgings, immersed in the splendid natural setting of the Trebbia Valley.
At the Croara Vecchia farm, you will find carefully furnished lodgings and mini-apartments for your stay.
The accommodations are of different types and sizes, to meet the diverse needs of our guests.
Those who choose to stay with us can enjoy relaxing horseback rides in the beauty of our woods, take part in fun excursions to discover the flora and fauna of the Trebbia Park, or spend pleasant moments in our swimming pool overlooking the Trebbia River.
We also organize horseback riding excursions in the surrounding nature and offer riding lessons for beginners (starting from 4 years old) and advanced riders. Thanks to our highly qualified instructors and excellent facilities, we are able to successfully prepare our students for show jumping, dressage, and eventing competitions.
In the small church attached to the former convent, theater courses and other creative, educational, and cultural activities are held. Moreover, the same space can be used for organizing multidisciplinary conferences and presentations.

We are located near the Croara Country Club, just 1.5 km from the charming Rivalta Castle and 18 km from the lively city of Piacenza.
Continuing along the beautiful Trebbia Valley, you can reach Bobbio, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, awarded the Orange Flag for the excellence of its tourist and environmental attractions.
The Trebbia Valley, one of the most enchanting valleys in our area, is the perfect place for lovers of rowing, relaxing walks or horseback riding, and outdoor sports. Those seeking relaxation can enjoy the sun and nature by the river. Additionally, the valley borders the Croara golf course.
In the nearby area, the province is home to over three hundred impressive fortifications, including towers, fortresses, fortified villages, and castles. Some of these are privately owned and not accessible, but others are open to the public and offer guided tours, tastings, medieval evenings, and breathtaking views.
Bobbio, the main center of the Trebbia Valley, is definitely worth a visit. Its history is closely linked to the Abbey founded in 612 by Saint Columban of Ireland, around which a fascinating medieval village developed. During the warm summer evenings, the village comes alive with life and cultural events.
For fun for both adults and children, the River Park water park in Rivergaro offers pools and slides along the river banks. Finally, Mount Penice is an ideal destination for winter sports enthusiasts and hiking.
