A few kilometers from the farthest point of Italy (de finibus terrae), in the heart of the historic center of Presicce, city of underground caves, there are two courtyards that preserve the timeless spaces and signs of ancient peasant civilization.
The "Grandparents' Court" is located in the historic center of Presicce, surrounded by sumptuous palaces, underground oil mills, and small courtyards. This place is far from chaos and just a few minutes away from the countryside and the sea, such as Santa Maria di Leuca, Otranto, and Gallipoli.
The two courtyards, Tre Sorelle and Sei Camini, host seven ancient rooms dating back to the 16th century, which have been carefully restored in the summer of 2006. They now offer comfortable accommodations with views of the charming alleys, gardens, and palaces. The rooms are quiet and bright, each with an independent entrance from the external courtyard. They feature traditional vaulted ceilings, fireplaces, private bathrooms with showers, LCD TVs, air conditioning, and a mini fridge. The reception is open 24 hours a day.
Among the activities offered, you can participate in guided tours of the historic center and its surroundings, taste the delicacies of the affiliated trattoria, and directly purchase extra virgin olive oil and wine.
