Gaeta si trova sulla splendida Riviera di Ulisse e si estende su un promontorio, da cui deriva il nome del Golfo omonimo. A ovest, ci sono insenature, spiagge e scogliere che si affacciano sul mare, mentre a est si trova la zona portuale, commerciale e il famoso mercato del pesce. Lungo l'intera costa da Gaeta a Sperlonga, si trovano sette spiagge incredibilmente suggestive e di straordinaria bellezza: la spiaggia di Serapo, la spiaggia di Fontania, la spiaggia dei 40 Remi, la spiaggia dell'Ariana, la spiaggia dell'Arenauta, la spiaggia di San Vito e la spiaggia di Sant'Agostino. Il centro storico della città, conosciuto come "Gaeta Vecchia", si estende dalla Porta di Carlo III al Comando della Scuola Nautica della Guardia di Finanza. Questa zona comprende l'intero Parco di Monte Orlando ed è caratterizzata da pittoreschi vicoli e importanti monumenti. Tra questi, possiamo ammirare la Cattedrale dei Santi Erasmo e Marciano (i patroni della città) e di Santa Maria Assunta, il suggestivo Campanile della Cattedrale, il Santuario della Santissima Annunziata, il Tempio di San Francesco e il famoso Santuario della Montagna Spaccata. Non possiamo dimenticare il maestoso Castello Angioino-Aragonese. Gaeta is immersed in the Riviera di Ulisse and extends on a promontory (hence the name of the Gulf). To the west, there are coves, beaches, and rocky cliffs that plunge into the sea, while to the east there is the port area, commercial activities, and the famous fish market. Along the entire coastline from Gaeta to Sperlonga, there are seven incredibly enchanting and extraordinarily beautiful beaches: Serapo Beach, Fontania Beach, 40 Remi Beach, Ariana Beach, Arenauta Beach, San Vito Beach, and Sant'Agostino Beach. The historical city center, commonly known as "Gaeta Vecchia," stretches from Porta di Carlo III to the Command of the Nautical School of the Guardia di Finanza. It includes the entire Monte Orlando Park and is filled with picturesque alleys and important monuments. Among these, we find the Cathedral of Saints Erasmus and Marcian (patrons of the city) and Santa Maria Assunta, the impressive Bell Tower of the Cathedral, the Sanctuary of the Most Holy Annunciation, the Temple of San Francesco, and the famous Sanctuary of Montagna Spaccata. Not to be forgotten is the majestic Angevin-Aragonese Castle.
