My name is Sara and I am delighted to welcome you to Cascina Ghitin Relais! "Ghitin" is the affectionate name we used to call my great-grandmother Margherita, to whom we dedicated the name of this Country House. In this establishment, you will be able to immerse yourself in the history of my family, dating back to the 1800s. We have recently renovated the house, without erasing its ancient traditions, but instead focusing on energy efficiency and the arrangement of the premises and outdoor areas, in order to offer you the best possible experience during your stay. With a degree in political science and a master's in tourism promotion, I have always dreamed of creating a Country House that enhances the traditions of the area. After two years of hard work, my dream has finally come true. What I love about this profession is the contact with tourists and the desire to offer them a unique and unforgettable experience, that goes beyond simple hospitality.
The Country House is located just 7 minutes from Asti train station and the city center can be easily reached by car, public transport or bicycle. In just 20 minutes you can reach Alba and Alessandria, while Turin is only 35 minutes away. Genoa and Milan are just over an hour's drive or train ride away. Variglie is a small village near Asti, famous for the production of delicious lemon peach, with a pleasant citrus aroma. Located along the ancient road that connects Asti to Alba, it borders the municipality of Revigliasco and is only 15 minutes away from the Royal Castle of Govone, a Savoy residence recognized by UNESCO. Nestled in the charming hills of Asti's Monferrato, this location is a meeting point between Monferrato, Langhe and Roero, regions loved by Vittorio Alfieri, a famous playwright, poet, writer and playwright.
