Casavacanzekastalia offers three cozy private homes located within the Athena Resort, a holiday village nestled in the Aleppo Pine Nature Reserve on the southern coast of the Ragusa province. Each house is fully furnished and equipped with amenities for both summer and winter stays, including a well-equipped kitchen, air conditioning, televisions in the bedroom and living room, a barbecue, washing machine, insect screens, and in some units, dishwashers and extra-large double beds. All homes have a sea view, albeit from a distance.
The accommodation is offered on a residence basis, with utilities included but excluding food and beverages. Linen is optional and available upon request. During the summer months, the resort provides access to an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a private beach with shuttle service, entertainment, dining options, sports fields, and family and children’s services. From June to September, only weekly stays with arrivals and departures on Saturdays are accepted, while during the rest of the year, more flexible periods can be arranged, making it ideal for long stays or work trips.
The strategic location allows for easy access to the baroque cities of the Val di Noto and iconic sites such as the Donnafugata Castle, Punta Secca, and the Randello Reserve. The natural setting, quiet and private, makes this destination perfect for relaxing away from the hustle and bustle. A car is essential to reach services outside the village. All houses comply with regional tourism regulations and are available even in the low season upon request.
Breakfast is not included; however, upon request, we can provide some basic food items such as milk, tea, chamomile, coffee pods, sweet snacks, yogurt, and more.

Casavacanzekastalia 3 “La Blu”: House – Holiday apartment (B&B, Day use) fully furnished and equipped with all the comforts to live very well both in winter and in summer. The house is located on the first floor and consists of - double bedroom (large bed); - bedroom with 2 single beds that can be joined if necessary; - kitchen living room with a double sofa bed; - 1 bathroom Casa 3 as well as Casa 2 (which are 2 substantially identical apartments), are the best positioned within the village, they are located in the center between the hotel and the swimming pool, on the main road between the swimming pool and the hotel. The house is rented in its entirety therefore the price varies slightly if there are 2 of you rather than 6 or 7 (due to the possible cost of the bed and bathroom sets), the house 2 and 3 can accommodate up to 6 adults. In my homes, excellently positioned inside the Athena Resort Tourist Village (ex Kastalia) nothing is missing, all crockery and cutlery, all appliances (vacuum cleaner, washing machine, microwave, electric oven, fridge with freezer, toaster, hairdryer, iron and board ironing board, espresso pod coffee machines – the FROGs for a coffee just like at the bar, and even the dishwasher). All the fixtures are equipped with mosquito nets, air conditioners / heat pumps both in the living room and in the double bedroom and the same thing for the TVs (both in the double bedroom and in the living room). In the bedrooms of houses 2 and 3 we have placed wider double beds, so that, if there is a child sleeping with their parents, they do not create any discomfort and can rest quite comfortably. On the ground floor there is also a built-in barbecue and one in iron for each house, as well as private parking. All 3 houses, even if in the distance, have a sea view. All houses are rented in residence formula, excluding food and drinks, including utilities. Binding condition: From June to September, the houses are rented only for weekly or multiple week periods with entry and exit on Saturday, while for all other periods of the year, more or less short variable rental periods are also accepted. Only on special requests we can also accept reservations for a few hours, for daily rest, for a temporary basis for work, for short romantic getaways, day use, rooms by the hour. Maximum discretion, maximum privacy, maximum confidentiality. From October to April there are no activities in the village. Obviously, the longer the periods, the more you save (for monthly periods, personalized estimates are made with any electricity costs to be considered separately). In any case it is not possible to bring the residence. Those who come to stay with us during the period in which the village with tourist activities is functioning, receive from us up to 5 club cards for each house to be able to take advantage of all the services that the village offers. Club cards are for everyone over the age of 7. Our houses are also perfect for winter stays and for those who want to enjoy the sea and the heat of October/November, April/May or simply relax in the midst of nature. All our houses are in compliance with the identification code of the Sicily Region.

The Athena Resort Village is situated within the Aleppo Pine Nature Reserve, a protected and minimally developed area that provides a tranquil and private atmosphere, perfect for those seeking a break from their daily routines. Its slightly hilly location overlooking the Ragusa coastline allows visitors to enjoy the sea, nature, and a pleasant climate for much of the year.
This area serves as an excellent starting point for exploring the wonders of southeastern Sicily. Just a few kilometers away are the eight Late Baroque Cities of the Val di Noto, recognized as UNESCO World Heritage sites, including Ragusa, Modica, Scicli, Noto, and Caltagirone, along with the captivating archaeological sites of the ancient Greek cities of Syracuse, Gela, and Agrigento. The nearby attractions also include the Castle of Donnafugata, Punta Secca with the famous Montalbano house, and Marina di Ragusa, known for its beaches and vibrant summer atmosphere.
During the tourist season, from April 13 to September 28, the village provides full services and entertainment, while in the remaining months, it transforms into an ideal setting for quiet stays immersed in nature. Even off-season, some outdoor areas such as sports fields and playgrounds remain accessible, although they lack lighting and commercial services.
Within a few kilometers, visitors can find some of the most beautiful free beaches in the region, such as Scoglitti and the Randello Reserve, which features equipped pine forests and golden sand. However, due to the village's isolated location, approximately 4 km from the nearest town, having a car is essential for transportation, shopping, or any excursions in the vicinity.
