Casa San Ponzio is not suitable for those who are looking for luxury and maximum comfort, but it is an ideal place for those seeking a simple and charming accommodation in a rustic, authentic, and genuine environment. Here, you can breathe in ancient sensations that are now forgotten, such as the scent of freshly brewed coffee or the fragrance of bread baking in the kitchen, or the pleasure of coming back after a day full of emotions and being welcomed by the aroma of an apple cake baking in the oven for breakfast.
We offer 12 rooms with a balcony, private bathroom with shower, autonomous heating, fan, satellite TV, and WiFi connection. Some rooms, larger and with a charming mezzanine, can accommodate up to 3 or 4 people, making them particularly suitable for families.
At our property, you can enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast for only Euro 15,00. Our homemade buffet offers a wide variety of cheeses, cold cuts, typical pastries, fresh fruit, and of course, a good coffee and cappuccino. Breakfast is served in our specially furnished room with a fireplace or in the beautiful season also outside in our garden.

Ca' San Ponzio was the old house of our grandparents where we used to spend our summers as children. It is an ancient agricultural farmhouse with a typical "L" shape that we have skillfully renovated, respecting tradition and using only original materials such as terracotta, stone and iron. We have recovered the old floors, ancient beams, furniture and original fixtures, giving the house an authentic and welcoming atmosphere.
Cà San Ponzio is located amidst hazelnut trees and vineyards in the small village of Vergne, just 3 km from Barolo, La Morra, and Novello, 15 km from Alba and Bra. In Vergne, in just 5 minutes on foot, you can reach the church, an excellent restaurant, a bakery with a grocery store, and walk among the few houses to admire the "Path of Memory", a series of frescoes that depict scenes of peasant life painted by local artists directly on the walls of houses.
From the garden, you can set off on pleasant walks or mountain bike rides on a network of perfectly marked trails in a breathtaking landscape, an endless sea of hills that have recently been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In an hour's walk, you can reach the nearby villages of Barolo, La Morra, and Novello, where you will find numerous restaurants, taverns, wine bars, and renowned wineries.
Alternatively, by car, you can reach the nearby villages such as Barolo, Grinzane Cavour, Serralunga, and Roddi with their imposing castles in just a few minutes, or in 15 minutes, Alba, where the famous Truffle Fair takes place in autumn, or Bra, where the Slow Food Association was born and has its headquarters.
In an hour's drive, you can reach Cuneo (the provincial capital), Turin with its famous monuments and shopping streets, or the sea for a day of sunbathing.
