The villa dates back to 1880 when Don Luigi Cav. Gazzano, prior of Santa Vittoria in the nineteenth century, decided to build it. He was not only a prior, but also the mayor of Sestri Levante, and during his term, he designed and built some palaces in the city's historic center that can still be admired today.
In 1970, our family purchased the villa and restored it. Over the years, we have made improvements to make it a welcoming and comfortable place. The villa is located among vineyards and ancient trees and blends harmoniously with the surrounding landscape. This environment offers breathtaking views of the gentle hills and showcases colorful sunsets.
Throughout its history, the villa has been used as a summer residence to spend holidays. It is an oasis of tranquility and relaxation, but also an ideal starting point to reach the main tourist destinations in the area.
Area mid-centre
Starting from Sestri Levante, there are some must-see places that you absolutely cannot miss. First of all, the Bay of Silence, a charming place where you can enjoy tranquility and admire the sea. Then, the characteristic narrow alley that winds through the center, a route full of shops and artisan workshops. Don't forget to take a walk along the sea, a relaxing and suggestive experience. If you are a sporty person, we recommend a beautiful hike to Punta Manara.
Traveling by train, the first stop not to be missed is Monterosso, the first of the Cinque Terre. Afterwards, you will encounter Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. Between these last two locations is the famous Via dell'Amore, a scenic route that will offer you breathtaking views of the sea.
If instead you move west, you will find other interesting destinations. Santa Margherita and Portofino are famous for their lively nightlife and for being frequented by famous personalities. In Recco, we recommend making a stop to savor the typical cheese focaccia, a delicacy of the area.
Finally, you cannot miss Genoa, a large city that extends between ancient alleys and streets full of shops. One of the places to absolutely visit is the Genoa Aquarium, a destination suitable for both adults and children.
