Casa Carrer was created from the desire to transform a historic farmhouse from the early 1900s into a cozy bed and breakfast, providing guests with the chance to immerse themselves in the tranquility of the Friulian countryside and experience authenticity. Located in San Giovanni di Livenza, just a 10-minute drive from Sacile, the property is surrounded by a rural landscape that invites relaxation, making it ideal for both vacation and business stays.
The B&B features four rooms—Malva, Girasole, Lavanda, and Menta—decorated in a rustic style and equipped with all comforts. Exposed beam ceilings, tiled floors, and a beautiful view of the garden create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Each room has a private bathroom, air conditioning, underfloor heating, and free Wi-Fi. The Lavanda room is designed to accommodate guests with accessibility needs, while the Girasole room offers the option of a double bed or three single beds.
Every morning, guests can kickstart their day with a hearty Italian breakfast, featuring both sweet and savory items made from local ingredients, perfect for savoring the authentic flavors of the region. For those looking to explore the surrounding countryside, Casa Carrer offers electric bicycles for rent, enabling a sustainable and enjoyable way to discover the area.
Casa Carrer is the ideal choice for those seeking a stay immersed in nature, combining the comfort of well-appointed spaces with the charm of Friulian tradition.
The room, with its own bathroom, has 2 single beds, poor art furniture with a desk and a large window. It features floral patterns in shades of green.
Malva Room, double room with private bathroom, in romantic style, wrought iron bed decorated with flowers in warm colors.
Lavender Room, double room with private bathroom, in shades of blue. This room is also available to disabled guests, equipped with comfortable and direct access, services with relative supports and floor-level shower
The sunflower room, in shades of yellow, is cheerful and spacious and can accommodate, if necessary, a third bed. The bed and furniture are in dark wood with a rustic taste that recalls the old farmhouses. It has a very large private bathroom.
Casa Carrer is the realization of a dream shared by my sister Laura and her partner Gilberto, both of whom are passionate about animals and nature. This establishment has emerged from the renovation of an old farmhouse dating back to the early 1900s, which has been transformed into a charming bed and breakfast. The restoration was carried out in accordance with bioarchitecture principles, featuring lime walls, wooden beams, and stone floors, all decorated in line with local traditions. The house is equipped with renewable energy sources, including photovoltaic systems, LED lighting, solar panels, and a rainwater recovery system used for irrigation and to provide water for the animals. Today, I have the honor of continuing this dream. My name is Alessandra, and like my sister, I have fallen in love with the peace and tranquility of this natural island. I take great pleasure in welcoming guests, who can truly feel at home here. Each day, I tend to the plants in my garden, prepare a delicious breakfast with local ingredients, and focus on perfecting every detail of the service. In our garden, where busy bees produce their precious honey, guests can relax under our mulberry tree and enjoy a good book. Casa Carrer embodies all of this: the simple pleasures of life immersed in nature.
The area where Casa Carrer is located, in San Giovanni di Livenza, is a peaceful corner nestled in the Friulian countryside. This region, featuring idyllic landscapes, is interspersed with clear waterways and cultivated fields, providing a relaxing and rejuvenating backdrop for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.
Its proximity to Sacile, a charming town just a 10-minute drive away, allows visitors to explore a village rich in history and culture, often referred to as “the garden of the Serenissima” for its elegant historic center and picturesque views along the Livenza River. Furthermore, the strategic location makes it easy to discover other places in Friuli Venezia Giulia, a region that blends culinary traditions, natural beauty, and historical landmarks.
San Giovanni di Livenza and its surroundings are perfect for those who enjoy walking, cycling, or simply appreciating the tranquility of nature, while still having the opportunity to visit culturally and gastronomically significant sites in the area.
