Camping Verdemare was established in 2012 by a family deeply connected to their land, aiming to showcase Abruzzo, particularly the Le Morge coastline. It's a youthful yet robust project, built on principles of genuine hospitality, kindness, and constant care for guests—values that have always guided Peppino and Renata, who have been active in the beach sector for over twenty years, managing the nearby Lido Baia Blu.
The campsite is situated in the heart of the Costa dei Trabocchi, just 200 meters from the sandy Le Morge beach, providing an ideal setting for families, couples, and anyone looking to slow down and reconnect with nature. Known as the Green Region of Europe due to its numerous parks, reserves, and protected areas, Abruzzo perfectly blends sea and countryside, making it an ideal starting point for exploring the Adriatic coast, the inland hills, and local traditions.
Covering approximately 16,000 square meters, the camping area is fully immersed in greenery, with grassy pitches designated for tents, campers, and caravans, as well as modern brick cottages designed for comfort and practicality. The facility is continuously evolving, with new trees planted each year to gradually create a greener oasis. Although complete shade is not yet available over all the pitches, the grassy areas ensure a pleasant stay close to nature.
The cottages, all state-of-the-art, feature a living room with a fully equipped kitchen, a private bathroom, and an external veranda that serves as the true heart of the vacation, ideal for sharing relaxing moments throughout the day. Each accommodation allows guests to park their car next to the unit. Pets are not allowed inside the cottages, but some options are specifically designed for those traveling with four-legged friends, complete with dedicated conditions.
All guests can enjoy a spacious playground located centrally, along with a convenient arrangement with Lido Baia Blu, reachable within a few minutes on foot. For those staying in the cottages, beach services including an umbrella, sunbed, and deck chair are included in the price, except for pet-friendly accommodations. Just a few meters from the campsite, guests can access the Via Verde cycling path, perfect for exploring the coast, while nearby is the Lecceta di Torino di Sangro Regional Nature Reserve, a great spot for nature walks.
Le Morge beach is particularly loved for its sandy shoreline and gently sloping seabed, making it ideal for families with children and those who enjoy long walks along the shore. A short distance to the north leads to a picturesque pebble beach, where the Punta Le Morge trabocco stands, a fascinating and tranquil spot perfect for those seeking a more authentic and wild connection with the sea.
The camping site is located in Torino di Sangro, a small town on the Abruzzo coast, nestled between the green hills and the blue Adriatic Sea. Visitors can alternate between beach days and cultural or natural explorations, discovering charming villages, nature reserves, historical routes, and the characteristic trabocchi—ancient fishing structures that symbolize this stretch of coastline. Thus, Camping Verdemare is an ideal choice for experiencing a simple, relaxing, and genuine vacation, where time flows slowly and nature becomes an integral part of the experience.
