Located at the foot of magnificent terraces and in a convenient location, just a few minutes from the Basilica of Tirano and the train station of the Red Train, you will find Ca' Merlo, a cozy Lombard holiday home and guesthouse with overnight stay and breakfast included. This enchanting place is situated in a large stone house, with independent entrances and an external parking reserved for guests.
Ca' Merlo offers two holiday apartments (Ca' Merlo Red and Ca' Merlo Blue) located on the ground floor, as well as a Lombard guesthouse with a panoramic balcony (Ca' Merlo Deluxe).
The house is surrounded by a large garden protected by hedges, ensuring peace and privacy. During the month of May, you can enjoy your snacks under a beautiful cherry tree, while plants and flowers, my mother Gabriella's passion, will make your stay even more pleasant.
On hot summer days, you can relax in our solarium equipped with sun loungers, a swing, and a parasol. Here you can sunbathe and enjoy relaxation in total privacy.
Furthermore, we will keep you company with some animals: fish in the pond, our house dogs Zagor and Zoe, chickens, ducks, and many little birds.
Ca' Merlo is the ideal place for animal lovers and for those who wish to bring their "four-legged friend" with them during their holidays.
Upon your arrival, you will be given a questionnaire where you can indicate your breakfast preferences. This will then be delivered to you in a charming basket placed outside the entrance door.
The products we offer are mainly locally sourced, so that breakfast can be a delightful encounter with the gastronomic richness of Valtellina.
For those who wish, it is possible to request organic or gluten-free products.
The breakfast service is self-catering: you will find the table already set with local VIS jams and honey, Nutella, tea, instant coffee, and coffee from the local San Salvador roastery, cereals.
Between 7:30 and 7:45, you will find your basket with the breakfast and the products you have chosen, including fresh milk from the Chiuro dairy, apple juice from the local La Cristina company, orange juice, fresh cakes and pastries from the pastry shop, biscuits from the Valtellina company Galbusera, rusks, yogurt from the Chiuro dairy, fresh croissants from the pastry shop, and fresh bread from the local bakery.
If you have intolerances or allergies, you can inform us of your needs in advance. We also offer breakfast options for gluten-free individuals and alternatives for those who are lactose intolerant, such as soy milk or lactose-free options.

Indeed, it is situated in close proximity to Switzerland, with its enchanting valleys such as Engadine and Valposchiavo. Just one kilometer from Tirano, the Italian starting point of the famous Bernina Red Train, and a short distance from other charming tourist destinations, recreational areas, and shopping opportunities such as Bormio, Livigno, Aprica, and Tirano.
