Sirolo is situated in a truly fortunate location. Positioned at the foot of Mount Conero, which gives its name to the Riviera, it is considered the Pearl of the Adriatic for its breathtaking views and its beaches that have been awarded the Blue Flag since 1987. However, the most beautiful and famous beach is undoubtedly the Two Sisters beach, just behind Conero, accessible by sea or on foot (only for experienced hikers) from the top of the mountain.
The surroundings of Sirolo are also famous in their own right. Just 11 km away is the Basilica of Loreto, which houses the Holy House of Nazareth. According to religious tradition, it is believed to have been carried on the shoulders of angels around 1291-92. A more accurate and credible version speaks of its Translation, that is, the transportation of the sacred walls by ship from the port of Jaffa to Ancona, commissioned by a family with the surname Angeli. 18 km away, there is the city of poetry, where one of the greatest Italian poets, Giacomo Leopardi, was born in 1798. Recently, he has regained popularity thanks to the film "The Young Fabulous".
Notable places to visit in the area include Castelfidardo (known for its accordion), Osimo (a charming town), Urbino (home of Raphael), Jesi (associated with Frederick II), and the splendid Frasassi Caves.
