Carefully restored and built in the 15th century with the iconic Pietra Rosa del Finale, the farmhouse retains the ancient charm of architecture that seems to blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. The three double rooms, each with a private bathroom and independent entrance, are decorated with unique pieces crafted from reclaimed wood, iron, and stone by skilled local artisans. The heart of the farmhouse is the breakfast room on the ground floor, where every detail has been crafted from reclaimed materials, such as a renovated marble sink and furniture made from chestnut, oak, and olive wood. Intimate and welcoming room, accessed directly from the seventeenth-century stone portico adjacent to the solarium terrace. It is characterized by furnishing elements handcrafted in wrought iron and by the recovery of metal objects from the early 1900s which have been given an original new life, thanks also to the work of the blacksmith Giovanni. Thus a "Parigina" (typical stove from the early 1900s) and an etagere become the bedside tables; old oak beams were used to create the console and coat hanger; the iron panels that decorated the ceilings of stately homes have been reinterpreted, finding their place as the headboard of the bed. A 1910 toilet, updated to accommodate the sink, characterizes the bathroom as does the 18th century walnut mirror, discovered by a second-hand dealer in Tuscany. We thought about equipping the bathroom with a spacious and comfortable shower. You will not find courtesy bathroom kits, but ecological Shower Shampoo and Facial Hand Cleanser in refillable dispensers. The high chestnut wood ceiling distinguishes the sloping roof of this room. The entrance is represented by the passage of the old barn and, looking out from the landing of the iron staircase, you can admire the triptych of colors composed of the green of the holm oak forest which slopes towards the intense blue of the sea, dominated by the blue of the sky. Doors and furnishings are made with chestnut and centuries-old olive wood, literally saved during the renovation works and expertly recovered and reinvented by the carpenter Ivo. The wooden plank that forms the top of the bathroom is the result of the recovery of olive architraves that are at least 300 years old; an 18th century walnut workbench constitutes the room's console. Every detail of this room speaks of "wood" but, above all, the coat hanger stands out, resulting from the adaptation of the legendary world champion racing bike of the 1977 world champion Francesco Moser. Jambs and architraves made with large blocks of Pietra Rosa del Finale testify to the fifteenth-century origins of this portion of the building. In later times this room was used as a stable for livestock and its entrance, in fact, directly overlooks a strip supported by a dry stone wall, which has been cultivated with vines for centuries. The nature of the place, unknown hands of past eras and those of the marble worker Alessandro, still capable of working this now unobtainable material, give meaning to the name of this spacious room, literally carved into the stone. Original niches created in the walls and covered in stone which once replaced furniture and wardrobes, today characterize this room together with unique pieces: such as the stone millstone found in the excavations carried out during the renovation and reinterpreted as a bedside table; or like the bathroom sink, expertly crafted from a block of Pietra del Finale. Everything inside this room speaks of the ancestral stone landscape that lies outside it.
