The "Brezza d'Estate" holiday homes are apartments located within an ancient Baglio (typical Sicilian farmhouse) and a new Residence in Valderice, in the province of Trapani. It's an ideal base for your vacation to discover the sea, history, nature, and food and wine traditions of western Sicily, away from mass tourism.
In addition to comfortable apartments (not rooms) for couples, "Brezza d'Estate" stands out from other structures in Valderice with our 7 spacious apartments designed mainly for families and longer stays. They come with two double air-conditioned bedrooms, a comfortable kitchen equipped with everything necessary, and a veranda or terrace with an exclusive view. We also have an exclusive outdoor infinity pool with a panoramic view of Mount Cofano.
Born in Erice more than 40 years ago, this is where I have spent a large part of my life. Together with my brother and our parents, we run "Brezza d'Estate", which is like a second home to us. We strive to provide our guests with a comfortable stay, sharing with them our favorite places and knowledge of the area.
A lover of both traditional Sicilian cuisine and others, I appreciate good wine, my brother's beer, shepherd's pie, Trapani fish couscous, hiking on the numerous paths in the area, swimming in the sea at sunset, Brazilian music, Argentine cinema, and gardening. I enjoy traveling when I can, learning new languages, and conversing with guests, especially those from distant lands.
The central location with respect to the airports of western Sicily, the proximity to the sea and places of interest in the province of Trapani, make "Brezza d'Estate" the ideal base from which to quickly reach by car the medieval village of Erice, one of the most beautiful in Sicily, the Zingaro Nature Reserve, the beach of San Vito Lo Capo, the archaeological area of Segesta and Mozia, the salt pans of Trapani, the historic wineries of Marsala, the historic center of Trapani and the Egadi Islands.
The hillside location with a view of the sea and the inevitable breeze allows for ventilated evenings spent dining on the veranda. The greenery and silence of the places, away from traffic along with the fresh breeze ensure long and regenerating sleep.
Among my favorite places is the nearby Monte Cofano Nature Reserve. There is the Tower of San Giovanni, a watchtower perched on the sea built in 1500 to counter the raids of Barbary pirates. It is a magical place from which to observe the Egadi Islands and the waves of the sea on windy days, protected by the shadow of the dolomite walls of Monte Cofano.
