The idea of the bed & breakfast came about when we had to decide what to do with our grandparents' old house in Santa Severa, but it has grown with me. I have long supported a more natural lifestyle, respecting the environment and animals, and I am in search of health and well-being. This has led me to do a lot of research, change my diet by embracing vegetarian and later vegan choices, gaining new awareness and achieving significant improvements in physical, energetic, and mental levels. After living in cities like Civitavecchia and then Rome, in apartments and condominiums, I desired an independent house with a garden and a vegetable garden.. Hence the renovation of the house according to my ideal model: energy saving, eco-friendly materials, photovoltaic system, rainwater recovery, hot water with heat pumps, and no gas. The certified result is an A4 energy performance class. And since hospitality is part of my culture and family tradition, why not transform this house not only into my new home, but also into a place to share experiences and a way to reduce expenses?
We are located just 2 km away from the sea and the magnificent Santa Severa Castle, near Rome and Civitavecchia. During your stay, you will have numerous opportunities to have fun: you can take a dip in the beautiful wild beaches of the "black sands", or choose between the "Castle" free beach or the equipped beaches. Water sports enthusiasts can practice surfing, windsurfing, and canoeing in famous spots along the coast such as Castello, Banzai, Toscana, or Ocean Surf. If you prefer cycling, you can go for a bike ride, or go running or hiking in the surrounding areas. You can also dedicate yourself to a cultural visit to Santa Severa Castle, the archaeological area of Pyrgi, or the Etruscan necropolis of Banditaccia in Cerveteri. For nature lovers, we recommend an excursion in the Tolfa mountains to discover forgotten roads and landscapes, or a visit to the "Macchiatonda" regional nature reserve or the "Torre Flavia" natural monument marshland. Don't forget to spend a relaxing day at the thermal baths, at the Ficoncella baths in Civitavecchia or at the Stigliano thermal park. And if you are passionate about history, you cannot miss a visit to the magnificent city of Rome and its monuments. Finally, you can end the day with a pleasant evening stroll along the promenade of Civitavecchia or Santa Marinella, followed by a tasty dinner in a local pizzeria or trattoria.
