The B&B Azzurre is located in the wonderful region of the Arezzo-Florence-Siena magic triangle, an itinerary of exceptional international value, rich in history, culture, and universally famous landscapes. Furthermore, in the immediate vicinity, you can visit fascinating medieval villages such as Laterina, Pergine Valdarno, the Montozzi Castle, and Il Borro, an ancient medieval village that belonged to the Duke of Aosta. The territory in which the municipality of Laterina is located has been inhabited since ancient times, as evidenced by the Etruscan settlements of Impiano and the possible Roman settlements from the Augustan era near the ancient Church of San Cassiano. The name Laterina itself seems to derive from the Latin "later" or "lateris," which means "brick," thus indicating the presence of numerous brick kilns that produce bricks thanks to the clayey nature of the soil, a tradition that continues to this day.
