If you wish to explore Trieste and have a unique experience, we invite you to stay at our authentic B&B. Our establishment is also our home, and I will personally welcome you and show you to your rooms. Before embarking on your adventure in the city, I will be happy to give you some advice and prepare a delicious breakfast for you.
Immerse yourself in the evocative atmosphere of our rooms, inspired by opera, with high-quality sheets, duvets, and towels. You can enjoy a breakfast with fresh local products, Illy coffee, cappuccinos, fruit juices, jams, yogurt, and seasonal fruit.
Our B&B has two rooms: a double room called "Carmen," inspired by the opera of the same name, and a multiple room consisting of a double room called "Madama Butterfly" and a very spacious triple room called "Il Barbiere di Siviglia."
The rooms are equipped with soundproof windows and comfortable beds with double pillows, ensuring a restful sleep. You can wrap yourself in embroidered sheets made of fine Egyptian cotton and cover yourself with soft goose feather duvets, immersing yourself in a timeless atmosphere surrounded by the artworks of Lidia Polla and theatrical details in the decor.
Our B&B can accommodate up to 7 people, and all rooms are equipped with air conditioning/dehumidifier, with the possibility to adjust the temperature according to your preferences.
Don't miss the season at Teatro Rossetti and Teatro lirico G. Verdi, as well as the "alternative" Miela Reina Theater. We recommend checking the schedules of the shows, booking tickets, and staying at B&B Atelier Lidia Polla, located just a 10-minute walk from these theaters.
In the spacious kitchen, furnished with restored antique marble tables and an old nineteenth-century coffee grinder, delicious breakfasts will be offered. Our guests can enjoy them on the large terrace during the summer. The schedule and type of breakfast can be agreed upon the day before.
The "Italian" breakfast included includes the following per person:
- A choice of beverage: cappuccino, illy coffee, milk, wide selection of teas, American coffee (included in the price, upon request), hot chocolate (included in the price, upon request)
- A choice of juice from various tasty options
- One yogurt
- One croissant, empty or filled with cream, jam, pistachio, or apple turnover (all handmade by the pastry shop, not frozen)
- Fresh or toasted bread, butter, and jams
- Seasonal fruit and local products.
Please note that any additional requests for cappuccino, coffee, etc. will incur a supplement of €1.50 per cup.

Welcome to our wonderful authentic B&B: here, you will have the privilege of being hosted in my own home. I will personally greet you and show you to your rooms, offering valuable advice to discover the city and preparing your delicious breakfast.
I am Laura Bilucaglia and I am happy to welcome you to my B&B.
I am a restorer and I have inherited the passion for art from my grandmother, Lidia Polla, whom I wanted to dedicate the name of our B&B to. This cozy place is located in her former residence/studio, which we have patiently restored with the help of my dear family members and friends. The decor is enhanced by her works of art, such as paintings, sculptures, and drawings. We have created unique decorative elements, such as upholstered bed headboards and bathroom tiles, drawing inspiration from the world of Opera and theatrical atmosphere. My mother was a singer in the chorus of the Teatro lirico G. Verdi in Trieste and now cultivates a great passion for flamenco, from which we got the idea to include works set in Spain.
I sincerely hope that you will feel at home during your stay with us. We will respect your privacy and will always be available to meet your needs. I am certain that you will leave with a wonderful memory of your experience here.
The Bed and Breakfast is located in a convenient area, close to the stop of the picturesque "Tram di Opicina" and in front of the bus stop that will take you to the University and the Carso Triestino. Furthermore, it is situated near the stop of all buses, including those to Miramare Castle, and the tourist bus of Trieste.
You can also find the famous literary café "San Marco", numerous shops, restaurants, and supermarkets nearby.
Coroneo Street is a flat road, which is an important feature in Trieste, a city with many steep climbs.
The Bed and Breakfast is located in the immediate vicinity of Borgo Teresiano, where you can find more parking options compared to other areas. There are free parking spaces (white lines), paid parking spaces with a parking meter (from 8 am to 8 pm on weekdays - blue lines), and an underground parking called "Foro Ulpiano", just a 2-minute walk from the Bed and Breakfast.
From the airport, there is a shuttle service that stops at the bus station, which is only a 10-minute walk from the Bed and Breakfast. From the station, you can reach the Bed and Breakfast in just 10 minutes on foot. Alternatively, you can take bus number 17/ which stops right in front of the entrance, or other buses that stop on G. Carducci Street, perpendicular to Coroneo Street.
If you arrive by car, you can easily reach the Bed and Breakfast at Via del Coroneo number 1.
