The "Bottega d'Arte - Antichità Lattanzi" was established in 1925 by Corrado Lattanzi, the founder of the family.
With a visionary outlook, artistic sensitivity, and commercial skills, Corrado Lattanzi recognized the importance of starting an art business in his hometown of Carrara, combining the sale of objects with the promotion of local cultural heritage.
He supported local artists by organizing exhibitions for renowned figures such as Montruccoli, Dazzi, Vatteroni, Fontana, and Cucchiari.
Corrado Lattanzi created a cultural salon within his shop on Via Cavour, which became a meeting point for Futurists like Marinetti, Prampolini, and musician Giuntini, as well as an esteemed clientele from Carrara and throughout the country.
After the war, Corrado Lattanzi expanded his passion for furnishings, furniture, carpets, and paintings, including Oriental and European porcelain from the 17th and 18th centuries, thus setting a trend that was soon imitated by other prominent antique shops in Sarzana, Lucca, and Carrara itself.
It was an extraordinary passion.
