Marco Paris is a Roman musician who has traveled the world thanks to his love for music and the piano. After twenty years in England, he decided to return to Italy and finally found his passion for cooking at the Antica Olivaia farmhouse. Here, Marco creates delicious culinary experiences based on the simplicity and authenticity of local organic products.
At the Antica Olivaia farmhouse, Marco will delight guests with traditional Umbrian cuisine, using typical ingredients from Orvieto such as saffron, pecorino cheese, ricotta, cured meats, truffles, and guanciale. All of this will be accompanied by the blues notes of Miles Davis, creating the perfect atmosphere.
Daniela Falconi, originally from Chicago, found love for Italian art and culture that brought her to Rome. Her dream of having a countryside home in Umbria has finally come true with the opening of the farmhouse in Orvieto. Daniela will be happy to recommend guests different activities in the surroundings and create customized itineraries, hiking routes in the Umbrian nature, and enogastronomic encounters with local products.
Like Marco, Daniela has combined her passion for art with her passion for cooking, creating special dishes with simple ingredients that offer a quality experience.
And then there's Miles, a dog born in a small town north of Rome in 2012, who moved to Orvieto to enjoy the countryside life. Half Irish Setter and half Labrador, Miles is bilingual in Italian and English and loves classical music and jazz, just like his name inspired by the legendary Miles Davis. His favorite foods are wild boar, homemade bread from Marco, and ham bones. Miles loves taking long walks among the olive trees and enjoying moments of tranquility on the belvedere.
Lucy and Quilt, two kittens also born in 2012 in Orvieto, have joined the Antica Olivaia farmhouse, where Miles welcomed them enthusiastically. After a period of adjustment, the kittens consider Miles as their big brother and sleep together. Lovers of lounge music and liver pâté, Lucy is a natural-born hunter and Quilt is an expert in free climbing. They love to be cuddled but also appreciate their space and independence, perfectly embodying the slow lifestyle.
