Antica Aia is an ancient complex of trulli dating back to the end of the 19th century, with an adjoining sovereign trullo.
Completely renovated according to UNESCO guidelines, the Antica Aia fully respects its original setting. Located on a hill of Cisternino in the Itria valley, surrounded by nature and a few kilometers from the sea, it is ideal both for families but also for romantic getaways.
the Antica Aia is made up of five annexes that start from a minimum of two beds to a maximum of five, all with independent entrance, private bathroom with shower, hair dryer, satellite TV, refrigerator, wardrobe and some with air conditioning.
Each room has a private outdoor area consisting of a gazebo, a deck chair and a small drying rack.
Furthermore, everyone can enjoy the swimming pool for the exclusive use of the guests of the structure, and a hammock suspended between two centuries-old olive trees.
There is also a private internal parking that allows you to enjoy your stay in total safety and tranquility. In the immediate vicinity, however, there are typical restaurants, bars, groceries, pharmacies and a riding stable.
In our establishment, you can enjoy breakfast every morning from 8:30 am to 9:30 am at the outdoor tables. In case of rain or winter, breakfast is served directly in the room. The breakfast includes a wide choice of delicacies, such as white or coffee milk, cappuccino, tea, coffee, plain or jam-filled croissant, bread with butter and jam, fresh fruit, yogurt, pies, doughnuts, and homemade cakes. In 1999, when we got married, we inherited some trulli from Francesco's parents, which unfortunately were not in great condition. At the time, we didn't know what to do with them. But in 2002, we decided to renovate them and turn them into a cozy guest house, the B&B Antica Aia, stone by stone.
Francesco, who was born in Cisternino, is 54 years old, while I, originally from Putignano, am 49. We have been married for 20 years and are fortunate to have two beautiful children: Andrea, who is 19 years old, and little Martina, who is 13 years old. We love nature and have decided to devote ourselves entirely to you, leaving everything else behind.
"The Ancient Courtyard" represents a perfect starting point to discover the wonders of Puglia. From here, you can set off to visit the famous Fasano Zoosafari, the charming Matera, the characteristic towns of Martina Franca and Locorotondo, the splendid Lecce, the enchanting Ostuni and the breathtaking beaches of Ostuni.
