As soon as you enter the B&B Al Traghetto, you will find yourself in the guest reception area, where you can find an information point with useful information about the area, public transportation, museums, events, shows, etc. The breakfast room leads to the garden, located in the inner courtyard of the house, exclusively reserved for the guests of the B&B Al Traghetto. Equipped with tables and chairs, it represents the ideal area for relaxation and sunbathing, especially during the summer months.
Furthermore, the first bedroom is called Porta Mantova. Through a staircase that connects the ground floor to the first floor, you will reach a spacious corridor that leads to the two bedrooms, one called "Porta Brescia" and the other "Porta Parma". Finally, continuing down the corridor, you will find the relaxation area, a room available to guests at any time, equipped with Wi-Fi connection and a small library to learn more about our beautiful Po Valley.
In the morning, you can enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast in the spacious room located next to the entrance. In the distant year of 1959, Stefano Belletti, nicknamed "il Baffo", opened the welcoming tavern "Al Traghetto". In that restaurant, the whole family worked diligently and the fish, the main ingredient, was always available thanks to the commitment of Paolino Belletti, Stefano's father, who was a professional fisherman.
Stefano loved gathering numerous friends and delighting their palates with sumptuous lunches, prepared with care and passion. Sfogliatelle, tortellini, agnoli, frogs, donkey stew, and much more: all genuine dishes prepared at home. Thus, the tavern "Al Traghetto" soon became famous not only in Rivarolo, but also in the neighboring provinces of Parma, Cremona, and Brescia.
Stefano Belletti, with his characteristic mustache and a smile always on his lips, traversed the history of our country and rivers, creating a place where people could find serenity, joy, and genuine food. The history of a country is not only made up of epochal events and legendary characters, but also of people like him, who dedicated their hearts to the village where they were born and the entire community.
And it is precisely with the same passion for hospitality that in 2014 the decision was made to open the Bed and Breakfast "Al Traghetto," carrying on the name of the historic family trattoria. A way to preserve the memory of the past and keep alive its legacy of warmth and hospitality!
