The creation of this small and exclusive B&B stems from a dream and the desire to change one's life. Each day in Milan always began the same way: alarm clock, elegant clothes, tie, taking the subway, the air always a bit gray, a bit too cold. The faces of colleagues were gray and bored. And inside me there was always the same thought: will it always be like this? Milan is a city where you can only live with a lot of money or with resignation. Then, one morning, I said to myself: "now or never". The change had to be radical, immediate, definitive. There are other places where you can live without resigning. Further south there is the Maremma Tuscany, linked to childhood memories, joyful vacations, the sea and the sun. Thus was born the idea of a Literary B&B, the first in Italy. Here I have brought together everything that makes life more bearable: books, human relationships, friends, the sun, and the sea. We work, but without bosses and without elegant clothes, creating the rules day by day, rules that are willingly obeyed precisely because they are not imposed by others. This is my recent story. I go down to the garden. My guests are still sleeping. The flowers, just planted, are about to bloom. The cat Giorgina comes towards me. There is a feeling of peace, even without a lot of money. I think of a few verses from a poem by Cardarelli: "the least painful season of darkness and crisis. Happiness of spaces. No earthly promise can give peace to my heart like the certainty of the sun...". Paolo Origlio: House Manager and dad of Sognalibro!
