On the slopes of Mount Amiata, in the splendid Val d'Orcia, you will find an apartment in a villa and a bed and breakfast. The garden is filled with hammocks and large volcanic rocks, and there is direct access to the forest.
This can be considered a strategic "base camp" for visiting the famous locations in Val d'Orcia such as Pienza, Radicofani, San Quirico d'Orcia, Montalcino, Bagno Vignoni, Monticchiello, and Montepulciano. Just a 10-minute drive away, you can reach the free thermal baths of Bagni San Filippo, with its hot sulphuric water pools immersed in the forest.
In the vast garden surrounding the villa, there are centuries-old chestnut trees and fascinating volcanic rocks, from which the structure takes its name: "Il Sassone". A pond and a waterfall will welcome you to the beech and chestnut forest, which you can directly access from the garden. Several trekking paths start from here, leading you to the source of the Vivo stream, and for the more experienced hikers, to the summit of Mount Amiata. Along the trails, there are equipped areas with wooden tables and brick barbecues.
In the garden, you can enjoy hammocks, a basketball hoop, a bocce court, a dartboard, a ping pong table, and a BBQ. You can have breakfast outdoors, surrounded by nature.
