Ajamola '800

The Ajamola '800 Guesthouse Project was created by the owners with the aim of bringing back to life for the guests of Favignana the style and materials of the past era. This historic building, dating back to 1900, was in a state of decay due to decades of neglect. Thanks to an extraordinary restoration, the typical Sicilian artisanal flooring, such as cement tiles and decorated tiles, has been completely restored and brought back to its former glory.

Finishes made of lime and fine marble powder, real vaulted ceilings, wooden fixtures, and old furniture have been recovered and fully restored. This allows visitors to experience the atmosphere of a typical Favignana house from the past, but with an ecological vision and respect for the environment and the beautiful island of Favignana.

The property is located on the first floor of a larger building and is accessible from two exclusive entrances. The first entrance, from Via Cristoforo Colombo, can be reached through a typical staircase of the era, made with blocks of limestone inserted into the load-bearing masonry and covered with marble up to the first floor, while from the first floor to the rooftop terrace, cement tiles have been used for the flooring. The second entrance is located in the common courtyard and is accessible via an open staircase made of rustic masonry.

Thanks to the two entrances, the building has been divided into four rooms with private bathrooms, each characterized by different colors and finishes. Wooden pergolas have been installed on the rooftop terrace of the building, allowing guests to enjoy a shaded common area and admire the splendid view of the historic center and the island of Levanzo.
