The B&B At Silvia's House is located in San Simone, a small hamlet of the Municipality of Sannicola, near Gallipoli, in the province of Lecce in Salento (Puglia).
This establishment was built back in 1965 on one of the estates of the Stamerra Family, where magnificent vineyards and centuries-old olive trees dominated the enchanting surrounding landscape. The house became Silvia's place of residence when, in 1966, she married Giuseppe Tommaso Pisanello from Tuglie. From that moment on, Silvia's house became a place of conviviality, a meeting point for relatives and friends, where long conversations and joyful laughter marked the time.
The culinary delights prepared with great skill by the lady filled and colored the kitchen table, making everyone feel at home.
In 2009, at the initiative of Giuseppe, Salvatore, and Lavinia, in honor and memory of Silvia, renovation works were carried out that restored splendor and vitality to the residence, transforming it into a cozy bed and breakfast.
Inside, guests can find accommodation in comfortable rooms, each characterized by the color of roses, Silvia's favorite flower (white, blue, yellow, pink). All rooms are carefully furnished and equipped with a private bathroom, air conditioning, LCD TV, and fridge.
The morning starts with a delicious breakfast, ready for you every day from 07:30 to 10:30. You can enjoy it in the shade of a large porch in the wonderful garden of our B&B.
The breakfast will offer you a selection of invigorating beverages such as coffee, milk, and tea. Additionally, we will delight you with a variety of Salento delicacies, including tasty baked goods and pastries typical of the region.
Our family is fully dedicated to managing and improving our cozy bed and breakfast. Our dear father Giuseppe takes care of the supplies: he buys fresh fruits and vegetables from the greengrocer, does the grocery shopping, gets pastries from the pastry shop, and bread from the bakery. He loves spending time with the guests, sharing stories and tales of all kinds. Lavinia, my beloved sister, is the hostess. She takes care of welcoming the guests, maintaining cleanliness, and preparing breakfast. She is a great promoter and provides helpful advice on beaches, restaurants, events, parties, and shows. I, Salvatore, live in Treviso but maintain a strong connection with our family business through phone and internet. I mainly handle reservations, marketing, and communication. When I can, especially during the beautiful season, I join my loved ones in Sannicola.
